Is it possible, using the same techniques that have given us our beautiful Lockheed Lodestars, to convert Manfred's equally beautiful L-749's and L-1049's to native models? I understand (I think) the effort that would be required - but if there is no obstacle to the conversion, then I encourage a similar team effort.

Fitted with large cargo doors and more powerful engines, the L1049H a.k.a. "Super H" or "Husky" was a convertible passenger/cargo version of the Super G Constellation. Included in the package are four models representing aircraft with and without radar noses and tip tanks.FSX JCA Lockheed L1049H Constellation. For any fans of large piston-engine aircraft, a group lead by Manfred Jahn have just released a very nice freeware version of the Blackburn Beverley. This rather unique aircraft was a double-decker, high-winged four-engine military transport developed for and (as far as I know) only operated by t. People will come just for the sight and sound of this iconic plane, as they do for the Breitling Connie. Incidentally, the sound pack for the Connies was based on original Breitling recordings.

Overall I'm pretty impressed and I knew of several issues with props and cockpit windows when using FS2004 aircraft in FSX. I installed the Lockheed Constellation (Manfred Jahn) and I've tried several prop textures but still get the strange effect of clouds and trees impacting on the prop disc. For any fans of large piston-engine aircraft, a group lead by Manfred Jahn have just released a very nice freeware version of the Blackburn Beverley. This rather unique aircraft was a double-decker, high-winged four-engine military transport developed for and (as far as I know) only operated by t. C-47/DC-3 worn cockpit textures for Manfred Jahn's C-47. These textures represent a cockpit that shows years of use and wear. I added tuffted padding to the sides and roof to represent some of the C-47 cocpits I have seen in real life.
FSX textures only for the Douglas_C-47_BETA_v3.1404 (Updated) by Manfred Jahn, with VVC by Jan Visser and team. Depicted is DC-3C, "ZK-AOD", in service with. Two reasons - 1) it's much better than default, and 2), the default aliases sounds from the default DC-3, so if you want to use default sounds, you'll have to copy the DC-3 sound folder from FSX over to P3D. But as I said, that's a clear second choice. The TuFun soundpack is way, way better. Manfred Jahn and his team have released a new update for their great freeware Douglas C-47 that features PBR textures for the exterior model and A2A's rain effects. Yes it is free to play. You can level up from 1-30 completely free, that alone is like 5-8 hours of gameplay that cost players nothing. There is also open episodes still going on, which grants access to all of the DLC's in the game for free at longer loot locks.
